Juggernaut Helmet - Ultimate Alliance/custom design

My friend has been wanting to make a juggernaut costume for quite a while and asked me to help him. He didn't have much of a budget, so it was made with a combination of camping foam mats, craft foam, plaster cloth, bondo, and a ton of sanding. But he was happy with the result and that's what really mattered.
Using Blue camping mats to build the under structure

Used a rubber ball, and plaster cloth to get the basic dome structure built

Used Craft foam to "skin" the body of the helmet

Final paint job done. The finish turned out great IMO

Final test fitting. He built the rest of the costume but my part was done. Needless to say, he was very happy. 970363_10200352575110916_344357803_n.jpg

I'm very happy to see this. Great job. Post some pictures of the entire suit if you can.

looks damn good man. what paint did you use? it has a brilliant finish

As with most paint finishes, its all about surface prep. It was progressive sanded up to 600 wet/dry. I tend to use automotive paint as I'm familiar with it and it tends to "flow" better. I want to say that we used duplicolor spray cans. My friend chose the two complimentary colors to spray. I then used a clear automotive laquer to finish it off.

He ran out of time to add the arm bands etc but here is a photo of my friend from Phoenix Comic con 2013.
