Jackieisrockin's Iron Man Mk 42 Pepakura Files! Back added to first post!

Re: Jackieisrockin's Iron Man Mk 42 Pepakura Files! New Info added to first post!

By the way, you do not HAVE to use the table its merely a thing to reference off of. If you have found a scale that works for you that doesnt match up with the table, then thats just fine. Like i said, everybody is differently proportioned :thumbsup

Kryro- The forearm looks good! Great job! And yes im going to model all of the inner armor :)

Streetsoul- For the foot flaps, you can just attach them with elastic or something when the shins all done but the 3 main red/gold pieces you can just glue them to the silver part and that should be good :)

sweet thanks buddy :) its coming along real nicely the shins are quite easy realy and so are the boots :) to build , hows the back coming i bet its crazy detailed huh lol

update heres a few pics of my shin with the boot buddy

Again it looks great! And the back is going good :) but no it doesnt look nearly as detailed as the chest or abs so it shouldnt be that much trouble :)

But i was looking at the scene from IM3 when he saves the people from Air Force One and if you look under one of the flaps, it does not match up with the hot toys figure.

It looks like (just like the Mk VI from IM2) under the flaps is just the endo tech of the suit such as this

jackieisrockin

This might sound really stupid, but is there any reference pics of the flaps when tony is actually in the suit, I was just thinking that because no one was in the suit at that point would it be the same undeflap if when tony was in it?

Jackie sorry if I missed what you are doing now but are you working on the helmet or the back?
Thanks :D

Re: Jackieisrockin's Iron Man Mk 42 Pepakura Files! New Info added to first post!

Looks like the back for now. I don't think the helmet is that different from past ones. I just used someone else's mark 42 helm. ;)

About the paper thickness it's supposed to be 110lb, but for all us Europeans how much is that g/m² ?
I was in store today and bought cardstock 210g/m² , good?

If your paper is as thick as a post-card you are good. You just want that extra stiffness to help hold it's shape.

And if you look right above, you can see a wild noob in its natural habitat.

cool. first post, first dumpass. Sorry that you are such a pro and I'm just a "noob". I thought this is a friendly board with nice people that helps a beginner like me. If you donÄt have to say something helpfully, then shut up.

Ps.: Every mistake I made, is absolutly wanted

I found the links, but there are some still missing. And that was my question. Hands, helmet, and the other parts from the right site are still missing. But if someome can help me, I would be very grateful. But please, not that strange SOUTHPAW-Pro. He is too skilled for me

This site is hit hundreds of times a day, by people all over the world. It is an awesome compendium of knowledge and references. But people don't want to have their time wasted. He wasn't being rude, he was exasperated by the shear volume of new members who swoop into these threads and scream gimmi-gimmi-gimmi, without even taking the time to read thrue the thread in the first place. In addition to the thread raiders, artists are constantly having to deal with people steeling their work, or worse: copying it. The people who will be taken under a wing are the ones who are willing to have the patience to take their time and be truly interested in the media at hand. I speak for hundreds when I say welcome. We want you to be happy here and make friends, and learn and share and contribute... Please read this thread carefully, and if you still have questions, everyone will be happy to help you. And if you decide to build something, please share it. We would love to see your work. :)

If you search for Gimpee in the replica costume forum he has a nice one. As well as an Iron Patriot.

Re: Jackieisrockin's Iron Man Mk 42 Pepakura Files! New Info added to first post!
