Love'n it... That is exactly the freeze frame I took when I originally got this video clip... That was the only shot of the cannon top I had until Jackie found another (blanketed) IP... Thanks for trying!:thumbsup Another movie pic was just released, but as usaual it's Iron man and not IP... :unsure

Thanks Rav. This is SGT's interpretation of IP (mentioned earlier in the thread). He finally textured his render, and I gotta say it looks amazing. His suit is influenced by several others (WM, MK 4, etc)... Jackie why don't we texture your render so far?

I agree, I'd rather see Jackie's rendered/textured.
This one here, is just a mash up like laellee stated.
I'm sure people will just see that pic and assume it's an official pic from Marvel without looking at it close enough.

I do think this is an awesome adaption of the patriot, but you cant beat the movie version in my eye's and Jackie is hitin the mark very well considering the lack of detailed pictures. So I'm gunna try my best to do ya proud Jackie and laelle I'm working on the cannon so hope it hits the mark buddy going to add piks as soon as ive done the resin stage.

Laellee and STEALTH- I actually do not know how to texture like that at all :unsure i pretty much only learned how to model and thats it. Ill try though!

That's ok man. If I ever learned how to model,. it would only be to make pep files and such. I have no interest in making 3D animated character/render/effects and such.
hopefully, The War Machine will be in its original colors in the movie at some point.
It will be nice to get a glimpse of both paint schemes on the big screen ( I hope)
On a side note, I'd love to have those displays. Even if they were cardboard. To put my suit in one of them.

What's funny is that IP's arc reactor and eyes always glow bright red in promotional pics and displays, but in the trailer it glows white like Iron Man... This is giving me a dilemma : red or white led :lol ? By the way, anyone knows what font was used for the markings (Lt col James Rhodes and FF445) ? I've tried several font finding sites but no luck so far. I wanted to make a vinyl letter decal to stick on the finished suit...

I'll see if I can dig it up, I think somebody figured it out a little while ago. It was part of a thread somewhere people that was discussing the Air Force designation of IP and what it stood for. I've also got decals for the cannon, but the laser sticker is pretty ambiguous (mine).

I have a sticker relatively close to it on the an/peq mounted on my airsoft M4, looks this (taken from the website, don't know where mine is !)
It's not quite the same, but the writings must be the same. I can scan it in high def tomorrow (1 am here) if it helps.

Yup yup. I google imaged 'laser safety sticker' I think originally, and picked one very similar to that. I then filed it under 'need better pics' and went back to working on servos, cuz there are about 100 that looked good.

I love that the article uses SgtHK's render... Now most people will assume that's the movie IP.
I'd heard that WM gets repainted to IP to represent Iron man's replacement, and then goes bad, but who can you believe? I've even looked for a leaked script, nothing.
