Also, i went to Sculpteo.com, and uploaded my fingers. it would cost $55 to get them printed. That is for both the left and right hand combined.

The only ones of those you cant print are the hand. The fingers you can. but you will have to contact Zabana about the hand.

Let me know what you want, and i can email you the files you want or post them again.

I only took down the links for that contained the entire hand. I will re-post all the other pieces for everyone.

In light of this I may just print the fingers and build the palms using Jowe's Easy hand files and Sintra. My modeling guy was only luke warm to the idea of doing a freebie for me...

I will be modeling some hands in the future. When those are done, i will upload them. but i just don't have the time to do that right now, i have so much to do still to my build. After i finish with my build ( hopefuly sooner than later ) i will be making them. depending on how my build comes out with the foam, i might model some of the parts and re-build them after the movie comes out. So far i have already heard of the chest being rebuilt by Jackie at some point in the future.

Wow so much progress of all the guys here @r11no your helmets are looking awesome .
Pretty much restarted again from scrach ( stuffed up 2 helmets and made the shin too big lol ) Just finished the left forearm and finally happy with the size .

I noticed the boot is only available as foam unfold , is therer a specific reason ? Will it be to brittle to make it out of paper ?

All of this sounds good Ladman ! What material did you use to estimate the fingers ? I find the resin option to be best one personally.

Hey there everybody,
Thought I'd answer a couple of questions about the V2 cannon here so everyone knows:

How different is the cannon than V1?
The V2 cannon's base, arm and pivot assembly have been completely replaced with new pieces. The actual cannon head unit is 90% identical to V1, but the rear had to be completely reworked to be more screen accurate.
Is the V2 a single piece?
I included an exploded view of the v2 components below. There are 12 parts in the paper pep including mock bearings so people can choose what they want/need to pep for a particular build. It allows a degree of parts interchangeability if there ends up being significant differences between the IP and WM cannons. Instead of hinge pins, I added centering holes for the pivot points; the holes can be used as guides to add axles. I removed fine details (like nut and bolt heads) to make pepping easier.
Why password protection?
I have an ongoing project using HD files of the V2, and while they aren't identical, I want to limit the access to and use of my 3d models at this time. Thanks.

If by "ongoing project using HD files" you mean someone is CNCing or 3D printing them, then please take all of my money.

This is an awesome job man. I hope you don't mind i did a little animation video of your cannon to get an idea of what type of movement it had. AND IT IS AMAZING. here is a link to the video.

So if we need to rescale, do we request a password? or a scaled file provided we know the scale factor? I am slow on the uptake, so I wanted to be clear.

Murdoch- The way i started, i just looked on youtube for different tutorials and just learn that way. But im not sure how other people learned but i learned that way. Hope i could help

Ladman- Yes i said earlier that i would remodel the parts that were not accurate and will start once more pictures come out So dont worry ill try to get as accurate as i can get while trying to make the suit function how it does in the movie
And awesome cannon animation! If anyone ever gets it to move like that, it will officially be one of the coolest things to do with an IM/WM suit

Ladman, did you have any trouble uploading to Sculpteo? I uploaded the hip and hand plates, but the back size of the models are not rendering properly. When I tried 'expert mode' to disable their "autofixes" it would not let me order an 'unfixed' model.

i did not have any trouble, i uploaded them all yesterday with out any issue. The only problem with the files that i found is that some areas on the models are a little thin so it warned me of that. But that can be fixed by applying the Shell modifier in 3ds max to the models.

humm.. okay, thanks. I'll try it again later. Mine aren't rendering properly. For example the chest details vent peice is being autofilled in to make it a solid block.:cry

ahhhhhhhhhhh. you will need to shell it like i said earlier. it is so thin that it cant find a thickness for it. if you cant edit it i will have to go threw and thicken up all the models.

Hey, guys. I usually use hot glue for these builds, but I want to try my hand at using a "super-glue". Can anyone give me a good brand and type... preferably something I can pick up at the Home Depot or local model shop. Thanks!
