I am getting started on a new project that I would like to have done for Halloween this year. I am trying to put together a Jack Skellington costume. It is one I have wanted to do for a long time and it is just now coming to fruition.
I was thinking drywall stilts to get the appropriate height (like I have seen done before). The thing I wanted to do differently is I wanted to add arm extensions so that I could be more properly proportioned instead of having goofily short arms. My question is, does anyone have any good tutorials on how to craft my own articulated hands to that I could have some animation. I could go with cheap plastic toy hand grabbers and the like but I want something more robust. I don't want them to break after 10 minutes.
Here is my rough "skeleton" if you will.
