I've released my Ark of the Covenant 3d Files

Yeah man!! Thats got to make you feel great--Walking out to your garage into that piece probably makes you stop and stare every time

And I just found out what happens when you put new spray paint over not dry spray paint. ‍♂️ ugh
It's all about curing my friend. I can't blame you though

What are you doing about the handles--Are you printing them or cutting some 2 inch PVC pipe--I think I'll go with the PVC myself

If it were me, id upgrade to a core xy printer that can do 500mms. Mine took nearly 3 weeks to print everything at 250mms on my N4M. If its not in the cards to upgrade the printer, then you do what you gotta do. It took my N4M with rails 6 hours for that part
Interested in upgrading for sure. So, you can upgrade the pieces in our printers?? How so--any links or how To's?

As far as time, I'm really in no rush for this ARK. It's most likely going to sit in kit form for a little while until I can clear out the back workshop area for display. Probably going to assemble but not put together for now. Making the 4 walls and floor as a dry fit possibly screwed together -so I can disassemble and temporarily store. Same with lid.

Just find your printer there, he walks you through the upgrade process. Took me about an hour. I only did the X and Y since Z travel is slow and would not benefit from rails.

The problem with large printers is the inertia of the rapid bed travel wears away the pom wheels faster at high speed. The rails don't wear away like the rubber wheels do.

Ideally though, a printer with no moving bed is better. The inertia at very high print speeds even with a rails upgrade can't eliminate lost steps in the stepper motors or reduce wear on the belt and motor for the bed. That's why a Core XY printer like a sovol 8 or a large bambu are ideal for extreme high speed printing. If speed is not a concern then the neptune is fine. My 4 Max with rails prints quality at 150mms, and has some layers visible at 250mms. It can print at 500mms, and ive printed small items but the quality is bad.

I printed them. Im not putting the piles on it. I have a different plan for the Ark when it's done. It's going to be awesome as hell!

I would think that's an easy thing to do. - jump that gun to see the gold:p
I’ve done that too. I’m spending a little more time trying to get the gold super smooth and reflective.

So without discouragement --please I hope no one gets upset--

Who is correct with the lumber placement?
I see one that has it above the prints and one that is even with the prints
Mine is not glued yet. Still waiting on Amazon to deliver the wood glue and corner strap clamps. So that is just Earths gravity at work there. The correct alignment is flush with the face.
