Item stolen from DragonCon

Why would some one steal it from you? maybe you lost it?
isnt the steam punk way to make your own stuff?
p.s.I totally dont understand this steam punk fad.
P.p.s.really though, is it possible you misplaced it?

Your asking why someone would steal a one of a kind item no doubt worth alot of money?

Not worth squat if you can't sell it, they could hardly advertise it publically could they ? and most of the people interested in this stuff will no doubt know it's stolen if offered it.

Yeah he makes goggles and other steampunk stuff, including corsets, he's had a booth at SD Comic-Con last couple of years. He does tend to not be in his booth most of the time from what I've seen. Nice guy though!

that sucks and its not always 'why'... its also 'why not'... i arrested a guy who stole shoes 3 sizes to small and a broken nose hair clipper, when asked why he said 'cause it was there'... some people do just to do...

DragonCOn is full of alot of different people, good people, bad people, etc. I've know poeple that would steal something like this just for kicks and than toss it in the trash. It has very little to do with stealing something to sell or other personal gain. It's that mild "high" of just stealing... or doing other "bad" things.

I do hope the dude gets his stuff back though and sorry to hear it happened. Having your stuff stolen sucks, I know :unsure

:lol If you have something nice someone wants it(especially if they are into the genera), and if this person has questionable ethics they probably don't want to pay for it.
no no im not talking trash about the monicle at all, I mean how could someone be such a douch bag/why would someone steal something that someone spent so much time on. thats pretty messed up.

I believe the maker of the missing item is the same fella in that corner booth that has all the exorbitantly priced, but beautiful steampunk creations on display at his booth where he also, and primarily, sells corsets.

I remember seeing his set up - I think i even remember seeing that one. I was more interested in his guantlets - one side was a primitive pc with typewriter keys, the other held the communications system - a telegraph key!

I hope whoever nabbed it gets found and disproportionately punished.

Didn't think you were talking trash. Some people are just thieves, its unfortunate. :unsure
