Is anybody interested in a "business" partnership...?

Re: Is anybody interested in a "buisness" partnership...?

My apologies Ramiel. I didn't realise English was not your first language.

Your English is very good :thumbsup

Cheers, Steve

Re: Is anybody interested in a "buisness" partnership...?

Oh, don't worry I have to learn it if I want to work in US or Canada!:D

Ok, as promised, here are the pics of the finished "crystal" blade. Again, thanks for the inspiration Ramiel.

Excellent!
It would be great if we could attach your blade to my skull guard.
Is it solid acrilic or is it casted in a trasluscent resin? The electronics can be hide inside the guard...:love.
Let's be in touch.

Martin.

he
Or I could just Google. Duh!!

Found 'em. Looks simple enough. Now is anyone else interested? Say 1/6th scale?

shall I assume the 1/6 scale Tardis is dead...:cry

Re: Is anybody interested in a "buisness" partnership...?

wow i just spent two days reading over this entire thread, i gotta say you guys are amazing. i especially love the steam punk inspired stuff, i can't wait to see some finished pieces. i wish i was a better artist so i could add to this wonderful creative thought pool you all have going on. at any rate keep up the awsome work.

cheers.

The blade material is polycarbonate (Lexan). I hand ground the entire thing using the top curve of a belt sander, a dremel tool with a sanding drum, and various hand files. The grip material is wood (poplar). I used the same tools as I did with the blade (with the addition of sandpaper). I'm glad you all like it.

Re: Is anybody interested in a "buisness" partnership...?

This has easily become my favorite RPF thread. I love checking in and seeing all the kick a$$ work happening here.

That knife has a really cool anime type feel (as does a lot of the work here) and I love those grips. The lexan blade is cool, but I can't help but wonder what a nice weathered steel blade would like like in that style too :)

Also, any news, progress, or continued interest in the hub gun?

SQUEEE!

Ramiel, that is one great pic! Very cool! I'm gonna throw all my crayons away, cuz you got it! Gorgeous!

Right now, I gotta go change these pants.

Coz.

Had this idea for a Aliens-inspired motion tracker a few days ago.

A smaller unit with a flip-up screen cover (dashed line). No screen on the side, either — it's integrated into the body of the unit. Kinda like a radar gun or an IR thermometer.

Now somebody go build it :lol

Ya know, I've got the back end of a broken dustbuster that might work for that....hummmm :love

I thnk the side screen is one of the aspects of the MT that makes it cool.

If you make it too small and ergonomic it's going to become one of those inventory scanners they carry at grocery stores and Wal-Mart!! :)

I'm kidding! I'm kidding!

:)

SO, that hub gun . . .

:angel

Jeez, how the hell did I miss this thread...

Anyhow, I can't really offer anything in the machining department, but I am a concept illustrator and have done a few things for films (Jeepers Creepers) commercials, video games etc.

I like the Steampunk genre and would like to take a stab at that if it's OK....I'd also like to try out some other retro-furturistic styles (more connected with the 1930's and 40's, rather than the victorian era).

I really want to see something more along the lines of the Weta raygun stuff.
