Is anybody interested in a "business" partnership...?

Thanks guys :)

Me make it? Fraid not — no time. Low on skills, too.

Any of you guys can have a whack at it, though. That's why it's up here :p

Finally a pulse rifle that can use the 1928 thompson...

I composited this pic as a brainstorm, I'm sure the final version will look quite different.
It needs a dial on the right side for the counter...from 100 to zero...

If anyone wants to run with the rendering or make a new one please do...I'm not very good at this computer business...:p And quite fraknly I'll never get arond to building it.

Hey Matt, it's nice, but you have to wait until you'll see my idea for it... I think you will like it... :love

That is super cool Matsuo, I love this thread :)

Does the 1928 accept the drum feed? The drum makes me thing of some neat shapes and gears.

Fantastic. Truly inspired.

I can almost see burled walnut or prhaps mahogany for parts of the shroud...heh and some nice tufted leather on the shoulder stock pad..like a big comfy office chair..;)

Walnut is the way to go. ;)
And then hammered metal, brass, and copper, and gold accents :D
I still have to do some more work, but this could be a start for you Matt :)

WOW. :eek

I just came across this thread now, saw the Steampunk Tricorder and this newly-inspired Steampunk Pulse Rifle. Wonderful rendering work you've done there, Ramiel.

I'm more of a conventional/traditional artist, and so all of my schematics are drawn by hand with ruler on paper. Maybe not quite as impressive or precise as 3D rendering, but as I have no skill at such it works for me, lol.

You know, I look at these pieces and can easily picture them being used in an Anime series or something. The designs, although clearly based on recognized props, are all very creative and well thought out. I'm really liking what I'm seeing here.

Keep up the good work. :D

You know what? I prefer pencil and paper myself. (as a comic/concept artist I HAVE TO.) :D

But sometimes I need to see how things works in 3D... ;)
BTW...

Thanks for your comments, I'll try do more concepts and ideas as soon as possible, "real life" could keep you really busy sometimes... :)

Thanks again.

Aaaaaaaaand...
Just to keep this steampunk "flavor" in these pages, I've done a steamsaber... My own vision of a steampunk lightsaber :)
I hope you like it.

Well, if you guys need any help on my part, I'm here.

Cant do all too much yet, but I can draw CAD sketches, some simple 3D models, and I know of a few machine companies and my way around a lathe.

I'm so horribly disappointed that I haven't found this thread before. I've only recently discovered steampunk and I started sketching up a suit of armor that I think would fit pretty well here. As soon as I can find my sketches, I'll have to post some scans for you.

Then I can start sculpting it and casting it and...

Here's an idea: with all of the fairly interesting steampunk and retro-future designs we're coming up with for props, has anyone thought of the idea of an open-source short film? I'm sure the membership here has all of the necessary skills to put something very worthwile together.

Re: Is anybody interested in a "buisness" partnership...?
