Is anybody interested in a "business" partnership...?

Any thoughts on what it would take to make this with styrene and a laser? ;)

If Ramiel does the graphics, I could make that thing in about 20 minutes. Do you know what the flip side looks like?

Let me know if I can assist.

13 ghosts? :D
I think I can do the graphics in Illustrator... Do you know the size of that key?
[/b]

Unfortunately I don't... the caps came from someone else so I don't can't grab any other caps. I'm sure someone here has the DVD to come up with some more.

I don't think the other side was ever seen in the movie... seems likely that the design would be the same on both sides.

Ok, I'll try to work out the size by myself ;)

-EDIT-
John, I've sent you the .ai file at your "aol" e-mail, I hope you will receive it :)

And Finished.

It's scratchbuilt from laser engraved/cut plexiglass. Everything is custom built except for the tank and back tubes which are made from pvc pipe. All the small rivets are dabs of white glue.

Thank you sir. Nice design makes the building easy.

Do you think it's worth molding?

You two are an amazing combination.. Do you guys ever sleep? :eek

That goes for the Victorian tricorder as well.. :thumbsup :thumbsup

Wow men, you are too fast.
I was quite happy with my skills but now I realised that my hands are too slow.
Excellent work.
Best regards.

Slow or fast doesn't matter if the results are good. ;)

And thanks. :)

What do you think about a custom base for the "Analiziometer"?
Something like this...
Let me know :)
[/b]

I like it, I just think it needs some more detail to fit in with the plaque and the tric itself?

And, Here it is the tricorder in all its hollow goodness.

I made the whole thing hollow with removable back, that way you can put whatever you like on the inside. I also engraved the front detail on the inside for placement reference.

Here it is halfway through the molding process:

I also removed most of the knobs and other details for ease of painting and further customization. The final kit will be in 13 pieces with a real copper coil. Here are some of the first casts:

Hope you like what you see.

I'm floored by this thread... seriously... some AMAZING work going on here. :thumbsup

any updates on the Aquaman design?
[/b]
I'm sure fettster is busy with the spidy suits now :)
I can't help him in the process ATM, but I'm also sure he will come back with an update as soon as possible ;)
(Psst, if you want to see another interpretation of a superhero, let me know. I love re-design famous characters. :D )

@ KidL: A big "Thank you" from all the people involved :)

Yea I figured it was spiderman pushing the b list hero aside lol.
Give a go at any hero man, I love seeing your interpretations.
Try a redesign of Galactus....that might be cool, maybe a movie
version.

And the first complete casts rolling out. :D

I've been really happy how this is turning out. I must say thanks to George for another excellent design. I went back closer to the original design on the gears but made that piece removable if you want to put something else in that spot. I am also working up an "imitation" nixie light display that can go in place of the roller display.

Now just to do up the plaque.
