Nice idea...You know what might make a nice addition to this design. A brass tipped, leather strap riveted to the back (top and bottom) like on an old steamer trunk so that you could have the unit in your palm with the strap across the back of your hand. Would make holding it much easier I think. Not saying it needs it, just making an observation.
