Tedious work, but it was worth the effort. I'm a real big stickler for details and getting vector graphics JUST RIGHT. I think it's pretty accurate.. :)

Great work

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone.

I'm not sure where I'm going to go from here...i could have some printed up at full size and sell them to members here or buy-it-now on ebay. But first I'd need to find a printer...and second is the issue of copyright. I don't want to get sued by Marvel, it's my own work, but it's their intellectual property. Any thoughts?

Cafepress.com make it into a poster and send it to the Junk yard for us to buy. Id hurry because now that this is out there, someone is probably working on a very close version that will be available as vector art for free.

I KNOW that CafePress won't print this. They're very strict on reproducing copyrighted designs and intellectual property. They cover their *** to avoid lawsuits.

I'm pretty certain that Marvel would stop any sales of big prints, even if i sold them here on the JY. Someone told me they police the forums, which is understandable.

Anybody notice Ivan had a smaller version of the print on his wall?

Ebay would probably shut ya down, but I dont think the CoC will let you post to the JY yet.
Perhaps you could team up with another member to get them printed or do like some others have done in the past, charge for a disc of the file and let the individual print it out on their own.

No matter which avenue you pursue, I'd definitely be down for one.

Read what Shepard Fairey said about the print: http://obeygiant.com/headlines/shepard-fairey-art-in-iron-man-2

I bet Marvel would see it differently tho :lol

Yeah, I was working on a version of this poster a while back and decided is was best not to sell it. I think it's best for us all to just print our own or to keep it maintained to just the forum. I think that if you really wanted you could try to sell the file, but I don't know how that would work. Somewhere like staples or something would be a little more willing to print one off as apposed to 20. Everyone seems to be a little picky about intellectual property, and as an artist, I can't say that i blame them. It would make things easier on all of us and no legal issues really

So we can sell Iron Man suits, helmets, and arc reactors in the JY but not posters?

No, I believe you can sell them in the junk yard, that's why i said it should probably be contained to the forum. I think it's when outside sources become involved that it becomes an issue. Or, atleast, runs a higher risk.

Sure the posters would be ok. In my earlier post, I only meant that the rules for posting in the JY say you have to be a member for 90 days(?) and have a certain number of posts (unless thats changed).

or you can share as a free paper prop :cool

Great work

I am hugely in favor of this as well of course. :thumbsup Isn't that keeping with the spirit of this section?:love Also due to space contraints I would most likely go the Ivan route if I were to print this.

Expect Property rights to be cracked down on a little more now that Dinsey owns Marvel. They are on top of it and don't like to let things go too far before stoping it.
