Iron Man Statuette Pepakura?

I posted this in the Pep thread in the costume forum, but since it's a paper thing, I thought it might be better here.

I was wondering...has anyone tried to make an pepakura Iron Man statuette? I know the full-scale body armor pieces are being created constantly, but I'd love to have a 10-12" statue of Iron Man to build, paint and put up on my desk. Doesn't that sound cool? My problem is, I only use macs, and I don't have any experience creating something like this with the pep program.

I know it would be too difficult to make a really detailed replica of the Iron Man suit at such a small scale, but I think the angular nature of pep would make for a really cool interpretation of the suit at that size.

I did a quick illustration of the simplification i'm talking about. This isnt a pep file, just an idea of the simplification that would be required at this scale.

As you can see, the major body parts would be single pieces. Rather than make the chest out of multiple pieces, perhaps a single piece could be folded and shaped into one shape. Then an abdominal piece could connect...like that. Any feedback? Ideas? Interested?

It is inaccurate in some places, but it is papercraft so it is to be expected to some extent.

There are some other great figures on his site. The c3p0 is awesome. Everyone here should check it out. These are great for "guarding" your computer desk :D

I think the colors on that one are more accurate than the statue dungbeetle posted. I can use photoshop to apply the color scheme from the second statue to the first one.
