Iron Man MK V proyect

Dlowrider,I am simply trying to gather information, which is what a forum is for.I am not looking for any excuses to let someone else do the dirty work for me.As I told you already,I am more than willing to work hard for my builds.
I don't know where you got the idea that I am lazy or here to bother people, but if I tell you that I am sincere, you should accept that.
I am sorry to have upset you with my questions, and rest assured: I will not ask anything of you anymore.Thank you again.

Ummmmmmmmmm. You guys remember I did in fact make this helmet (well, another version, not this one in particular), and I did make a pep version. No need to do anything special guys, George just PM me your email.

;) :thumbsup

no problem, good luck ;)

GhostMinion, well, yeah, I made one too, but I was just talking about DLRs helm...

But anyway, if anyone wants to unfold it, I fixed a fewUn-connected vertices, and scaled it to roughly the Size of my Other helms.
It's a .PDO, But it's not unfolded:

You know, I believe there has been a misunderstanding amongst some of the viewers here. I might be able to offer some clarification for some:

Seems that most may not be aware, the helmet dlowrider has posted here is not the movie version mk 5 helmet, like he is using for his suit build. To the best I'm aware, he is not sharing the whole mk 5 model, or the helmet for it either. The model he is sharing, however, is a modified version of his mk 5 helmet, made to look more like the Legacy Effects Mk 5 helmet (the actual physical helmet, not the 3d model). All of his models are set up for 3d printing, as he is 3d printing them (and machining some out of metal, I think). He never set any of this up for pepakura, nor did he intend to.

I just wanted to point this out to some of the other viewers here, those who might not have been following this thread from the start like myself or Syrus54.

Syrus54: thank you for your time and trouble,Syrus.I will give your foam version for the MK V a try in due time.
GhostMinion: I read this thread from the beginning (as I am a huge fan of the MK V) and about the 3D modeling in this thread, but it never occured to me this was for 3D printing only.
I'm sorry I didn't deduce that earlier from the thread

clear like water :D :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

George good luck with that :)

...this was for 3D printing only...

You could still unfold it for Paper, just make sure to separate the INSIDE of the Model from the OUTSIDE.
Not impossible, but again; Very Difficult.

I suppose you could Unfold the WHOLE thing onto the Pages, Inside and Outside, and then mabey after it's made, and you can hold it in your hands, you could fill it with Liquid Fiberglass Resin, or a plastic that would harden, and it'd kind of be like a MOULD...

Just my thoughts...

hahaha, looks like badass

Agreed.

Excelent work man, really congratulations.- :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup (y)thumbsup :cheers

(Kowtowing) A thousand thanks,Dlowrider & Southpaw ! :thumbsup

Your welcome George, I would like to see your work after, :cheers

You are a mad man, brother!!! I personally know what a pain that had to be unfolding such a hi poly model.

A complete and total unfolding beast, for sure. :thumbsup

Yeah, this man have a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT of patience :facepalm:lol

Well, again here, new design, new hands, and booties, I think hands were me spectacular, take the original CGI mark 3 and the re design in scale and thickness to print, giving much thickness to make them hard, strong, and that the mechanism will be implemented to secure the fingers and make the joint is going to be from another planet, when finished will see the tip.-
Pics of the print, asking? ... ask for photos of the printed parts ?, patience, when you finish printing all, that will be less, since all parts are alumini, and started to melt the mold, rather make 1 video to summarize the whole process reinforced, it is very long, many pieces.

Love the model, but you've started printing these files, right?

Can we see pics of the Stuff you've printed?

Patience, really is a lot of work, lot of parts, and most important project, the deployment of the suitcase, becoming the suit, something of which I am very close to finish, and will surprise.
