Thanks chimmera, I have a little more done now then in the pics but I am waiting to take some more pics til it really shows some progress. slowly finding time to bondo and sand this thing out .... also trying to work up a mock set of the hinges for now

I don't want to give up but need to find £6000 for some religious service. And this is a very price consuming project, although, am entering a competition that is based on votes (on facebook) So would appreciate the support.

Ok so I got some work done on my helmet about 40% done with the bondo. I will upload some pics of what I have completed so far tonight.

OK so I got to work on my helmet some more today and sanding a large portion of it smooth also sprayed it with the first coat of primer so that I can sand it smoother and look for the real low spots before I fill in the remaining low spots I can see ...

Sideshow made an awesome Titanium or gunmetal Color version of the Mark 3 a while back, looks so nice and aggressive with battle damage scuffing to it. Too bad it was never used in the movie.

makes me want to paint it like this, just to step away from the norm, ya know?

Thanks Kagn, I have been really stoked about the turn out even with some minor issues. Stealth, that picture is sweet. I may actually use that for reference and go with some of the that battle damage scuffing for looks and it made me envision a gunmetal colored ironman which really gets the gears going. temptation is the devil as per bobby bouche's mother said. I gotta try to resist the sensations stirring to go custom lol

ok so here are some pics of the first layer of bondo sanded now I need to dremel out the details and coat the low spots. I also need to address some alignment issues with the face plate to the helmet but nothing to bad

Thanks BD ... thats a strong compliment coming from you since I have been watching your work form into its greatness ... wish me luck cuz tonight I am going to try to correct the mild alignment issues with a heat gun and pressure to reshape it back to where it needs to be
