Iron Man Mark VI - Brazil - My first armor

Boots OK!

The assembly seems not to be perfect, and it really isn't; however, it fits with every shoe I have, and there isn't much stress in the piece when walking, even not being articulated.

That was the part I had the most pleasure and fun when doing :love; probably because I could build around a shoe, and had not the same scaling issues I had before.

After assembling, the first test! I was so excited!

Many things to correct yet, but I liked :D. Didn't join the legs, and still there are some pieces to put, but man... doing this, and after all put the armor... That's incredible sensation! :lol

This is actually one of the cleanest and best proportioned foam suits I've seen.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Thank you, I'm really glad. Finishing hands by now. Next will be helmet, painting and enjoying the armor in the neighborhood! :lol

And here are gloves with fingers!

Fingers made with 2mm foam, and fixed in the gloves with strips of the same foam.

I've tried to make fingers with 5 mm foam, and discovered that was not possible without making off-scale. If I augment too much, the thickness of the foam prevent proper movement; if trim too much, it's hard to glue and handle. So, I've made with 2 mm foam, and even then I had to trim (Probably I have short fingers) :D.

And the armor is done! Last pieces: hand plate, hip pods and helmet. Next, sealing (will use PVA) and painting. For the helmet, I used Sharkhead's version customized by JF.

Pretty unhappy with helmet due to many circumstances. Running out of foam; scaling seems too big (I augmented 10%); lack of hinge system (I was so anxious to finish that I didn't want to create one - at least by now). But my wife and my daughter liked it, so it's probably okay (if two women say so, must be true).

May be I'm just in a bad mood today.... :behave

Painting!

I was in a hurry and anxious to get this over. Besides my hurry to finish, professional and personal matters were pressing me. Additionally, I had no idea that the painting process needed so much patience and care!!!

Still had to wait longer than I was expecting, because rained almost 1 week in non-stop regimen...

I've adopted the following method:
- 2x PVA
- 1x primer (red parts only)
- 2x paint
- 2x acrylic varnish (spray)

Couldn't find the right colors, so I've picked up the closest I found.

Here are some pics. Yep. Many mistakes to correct. Please, be kind! :cry

Finished!!! (At least 99%, I would say). Some minor details needed, as fixing abs, for example.

This armor was my first one, and it is one of the best experiences cosplaying I had so far! :love Hope put it to good use in charity events in my neighborhood, if invited to do so.

Thanks for everyone who commented and watched!!! :D
