thanks a lot , i have more great photos of the other cosplayers there that i got to post up.. the gloves were a pain though since they weren't my proper size kept falling off and wasn't able to hold things much lol.

Now that is a lot of work but it turned out great.

thank you.. still more to do =\

i just got plain bread boards from a local electronics shop then wired up the led's and resistors my self. There's a few sellers currently on the forum selling some eye kits.

Not sure if my email went through... just wondering if you're willing to share your code for the eye lighting, and how you wired the LEDs to your board? Thanks.

sure the wiring is very simple i actually didn't get to install the controller or the servos into the helmet. I was using just a simple magnet switch like you find in home alarm systems and rigged it up so when the faceplate would close it would close the connection between the power to the led's eyes and it would light up. I'm having mightyjohn re-work my helmet since its really tight on me and having him do a full service job with servo's and a proper led system.

I'll post up pics of my current setup of the lighting being done to my helmet before i send it out to him.

Ah I see. In one of your old videos, did you actually program the microcontroller to do the eyes effect? I'm aiming to have everything controlled by my microcontroller. Just wondering if you don't mind sharing the code of your old vid.

yeah i did, the video i did i used a pololu controller to make that effect but u can recreate it on ardruino controller as well , i have the pololu code just don't know which file it is, i can share it and you can try to figure out what i did with it.

thanks guys, the magnet swith is very small i picked it up from allelectronics.com there local here

this looks great. I'm trying to begin my own Iron Man foam costume so this was pretty inspirational... I feel like this foam is the stuff from your average craft store, like the 2mm/6mm stuff from AC Moore's...is that true?

Cus if so, wow! I wouldn't imagine that that foam would be able to do this. I was thinking of having to get the foam mats for gym floors etc, but if plain ole craft foams works... (and its super cheap too) then that's what I'm going to go for!

yup from arts and crafts store, but understand 2mm and 3mm foam is very very thin!!, i only use the 2mm foam for like my neck parts, and the thin foam seem to have like minature holes or looks more frail compared to the closed cell 6mm foam that i used for most of my armor. I purchased mine on ebay i believe the link is somewhere in this thread.

I'm thankful i could inspire more builders , it pushes me to do more and improve my suit, i still have so much to redo, it seems like its never gonna be perfect haha

yay there using my photos of me fighting cyclops in there Comikaze group deals for the expo i showed my suit..
