Heres the excited part ... The Chrome gold face plate .

Ive tested with slightly brush on the chrome gold .... will do more brush and polish after painted the red .

Leslee, not sure how you get that finish, but it's amazing!
That being said, there's no such thing as gloss finish on Ironman suit .. if you could do that MKII brushed titanium helmet .. I'd love to have mine on the way now!

If you clear coat over the chrome it should knock the gloss reflections back a bit yes?

I may do that , but i will need to make sure the quality of the paint after chrome , it will appear with minor issue that will be easily spotted , especially on the chrome mirror effect .

Did a test brushed on the face plate that has chrome painted issue .... Brushed it with 800 sand paper , not really like results.. need more test on different kind of brush methods ...

The brush is not that bad but I would definitely go with a higher grit and/or I would continue to sand over the chrome to give it a more homogeneous finish. The problem still lies in the chrome underneath .. the movie faceplate had a much more matte finish overall so if you want to keep that chrome undercoat, I'm pretty sure you'll have to sand that faceplate a lot more. Give that a try and post the result.

Looks like the color looks much more accurate where it got sanded in relation to where it's still chromed!

Thanks for the tip buddy , yea .. i will try to sand it more evenly ..... however , i will try another way that i did before on my previous version 2 Iron man helmet , which a layer of coating on the face plate ... will show both result soon .

I think this is much closer to movie look but at this point I'm sure you can achieve something close without chroming first, did you try a nice smooth silver undercoat then spray with anodize gold?
