There is a car paints store where i buy all my materials they are very excited about my project and the want to paint my Ironman with cherry candy paint for free. I hope they do it.

Re: Iron Man Costume from Puerto Rico (pepakura)

The boots are 13" long, and 5 " wide.

Re: Iron Man Costume from Puerto Rico (pepakura)

wow, exellent iron man suit, where the hell did you get the patience to pep this all ? :lol
Keep it up !
:cheers

Re: Iron Man Costume from Puerto Rico (pepakura)

Thanks, It is takes too much time to do all the pep files, now my wife is helping me out, i just put fiberglass and resin to the biceps and elbows, and now is raining again here in Puerto Rico that is not good because the humidity, the fiberglass takes too much time to dry :cry
Ok relax :sleep
Here some photos from my video when i went to SDCC 2008, yes that is me besides the Ironman real suit, i have a complete video from top to bottom and back of the Suit, i using the video as a reference, Do you see the side of the Ironman Helmet? it looks pretty sharp.
When i saw it for first time i said this hard to make, but now the story is diferent, I'm making my own Ironman costume, even if using as a display.

Probably you are right about the Ironman Costume it will be the best in Puerto Rico and who knows some other countries but you guys will be the judges about that.
I willl try the best i can.
Here some more photos, my hip pods made of pvc and sintra.

Here with a little update, elbows done, joint of the thighs and lower legs done.
i played a little bit with the size of the costume and will be like 6'2" tall....

Re: Iron Man Costume from Puerto Rico (pepakura)

Indeed it is beautiful, I love seeing Iron Man suits so well made. The funny thing is, almost everyone who builds Iron Man gets further than the people making the templates. lol

Re: Iron Man Costume from Puerto Rico (pepakura)

This is outstanding! One of the best I've seen so far! :eek
Are most of these Dancin_fools files? And if so did you keep the origional scale or change it?

Thanks.

Re: Iron Man Costume from Puerto Rico (pepakura)

Thanks for all the comments, most of the files i used are Dancin_fools, and a few from others members check the firts post from Finhead there are complete files from diferents members, i just played with the scale increase 10% or 20% then i compare to the references photos and sometimes i had to cut and add more cards stock (paper), if you want to make a good and decent accurate costume first you need to get good photos from diferents angles if you can find lifesize poster it will be better, i use my bitmap program on my computer i can increase or decrease any size whatever photos i had.
