Thanks, i saw the news it will be rainning the complete weekend, here in the caribean we have tropical storm called OTTO:angry:cry
I will work with the lights of the arc reactor and the feet lights.:sleep

Thank you, hopefully today i finish with the padding of the helmet easy to do, on monday i will continue with gold paint, because the weekend is for my kids and i don't to play with the car paint around them neither just for safety.

Hi here some photos for the complete helmet and a little video how works, it got 4 hinges for the faceplate, eyes lights with a level swicth when the faceplate is up... lights off when is down ....lights on, plus it has an extra swicth to save power when faceplate is down. the neck area fix nice inside helmet without magnet or velcro.
The rest of the armor is almost painted some few gold areas and that's it.

dude how did you rig the eye lights, Im completley stuck on this part on my helmet, any specs?

Ok, i used 6 ultralights small leds 3 for each eye, then two corner of a cd case plastic with a reflector car white tape inside the eyes, the leds go on top of the eyes facing down.
Check my thread there are some photos of the eyes.

well, i used it for base, it is good for gold color and if i want to do battle damage to the suit take a little sandpaper and scrath it and you will see the silver pait come out.

Maul did you get my PM regarding the faceplate hinges? I would either like to buy a set of of you or if you could post templates of them that would be great. I need them for my helmet for this Halloween.

Ok, i used 6 ultralights small leds 3 for each eye, then two corner of a cd case plastic with a reflector car white tape inside the eyes, the leds go on top of the eyes facing down.
Check my thread there are some photos of the eyes details plus the hinges .
The 4 hinges i made them, i used a 1/8" lexan (strong clear acrilic panel) i cut them with a jigsaw, before that i made them of sintra first for testing until i get it right.
Bolts: i used 1/4" chicago screws (find them in any leather craft store), they come in pairs male and female the heads are big enoughs to glue with epoxy and after that i put (optional) a little fibergalss for strengh.

I hope that help, 2 hinges are "L" shape the other 2 are straight form, try to made them of sintra first and use hot glue for the chicago screw first, remenber not all the IM helmet are the same.

So is there any way you could take a pic of the old sintra pieces you used before cutting the lexan? Take a photo straight odwn on the pieces and also right the measurements on them. I would be sooo grateful.

Not problem, i just need to take photos from the lexan's ones because it is easy to remove and put them back to the helmet, here is a photo of one side set

How if the bolts are glued on do you pop off the hinges so easily?

Hi today i painted all the gold sections, tomorrow i will complete the lines and silver details. Thursday or friday IM it will be assemble and done.
I need to know how i can change the title of my thread, because when IM is done the tittle should say Ironman from Puerto rico 100% complete!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any help with this? :confused
