This is what I ended up doing for my gaps. I also uploaded pics showing my boot, inner elbow and back of knee joint gap solutions.
The butt, thigh and boot gaps use a black Garage Door Bottom Weatherseal on which I used red vinyl & fabric Duple-Color paint I bought in an auto supply store. Immediately after spraying it with the vinyl paint, I shot a light coat of my Duplicator Inferno Red Metallic over the top while the vinyl paint was still wet. Seems to work fine without cracking as the metallic paint is kind of fused with the vinyl paint. In some sections, I used the back of the seal and in others I used the front with the raised lines to give more visual interest. The vinyl glues to itself great with the Loctite gel superglue, though it doesn't take hot glue to attach it to the suit, so it is attached with the same Brad Hole T-nut screws that are holding on the straps and hip pod. I used the superglue to attach the pieces to the shin and cod, using clamps to really get it glued well. If you do this, put wax paper on the paint of your suit though between the clamp pad. You can see the spot where the clamps marred my beautiful finish on the cod and I had to do some touching up.:cry
I'm not totally happy with the inner elbow covers as the gold vinyl I used was textured, but I couldn't find gold vinyl paint so I could use the garage door seal on that as well. I may try to source a patent leather gold vinyl which has no texture so I can redo those eventually.
The knee pieces are actually attached by the screws which hinge the thigh and shin together. I tried using elastic straps with snaps, but the snaps on the webbing which I hot glued to the inside of the suit kept popping off.
