I doubt it. Pepper's been a longstanding sidekick for Tony, and killing her off would be the biggest mistake since Greedo shot first.

I'm not that familiar with the comics, but I'm pretty sure the movie Tony would blow up the planet for Pepper.

In the comics she married Happy Hogan, then they divorced, then he died.
For some odd reason I can see a caption saying "I find your lack of tech disturbing."

I think that's very plausible. Also, I'd love to know the name of the song that plays around that time, if anyone knows the name.... it might be apart of the score though, so I may have to wait

Trailer was super rad. Can't wait for May.
The scene with Tony on the operating table, I'm assuming (like someone said above me) they're either going to remove the shrapnel and/or the arc from his chest. Or, more plausibly, that's the scene where Tony is given Extremis. It's been a while since I read that but the shot looks very similar to a panel from that book.
I think what bothers me most about the Iron Patriot suit is the lack of shoulder rails. That always made War Machine distinctive, so even if they do repaint it (going back a few pages to the fan recolor) it would still not look quite right. Oh well, now I know where to paint my pilot ID info on my IM 2 style costume.

My guess would be that there's foul play at work here...
Or Tony got drunk, went to Pepper's place in the middle of the night while she was fast asleep, she woke up and is panicking because she wasn't expecting her boss to be there, in full suit and waking her from a deep sleep.
If it is part of the score, then that would be awesome. Given the current state of production (IMDB lists is as "Filming"), and knowing that a score isn't composed until post production (other than perhaps specific leitmotifs), I would hazard a guess that the music is actually some standard trailer score music. Judging by the musical style, I believe that it's most likely Two Steps From Hell.

Does it bother anyone that the Mandarin isn't asian? I mean, Kingsley is great and all, but when reading the comics when I was young he always struck me as more asian. Plus, his ongoing relationship with fing fang foom (that dragon thing)seem to all point more to the asian culture.

After casting a black guy for a Nordic god, I don't think Marvel is too concerned about sticking that close to the comics.

That minigun always bothered me. There's no place for the ammo to be stored that wouldn't be used up in a 1/5 second burst of fire. The new weapon on his back looks like it might be energy based, which with an Arc reactor at least makes sense.

Well, Kingsley is of Indian descent. I suppose that's closer than having a straight-up white guy playing the role in yellow face, right?
