Iron man 3 Mk 8 in pepakura - A collaboration work

sorry i didnt mean to come off pushy im just kinda panicking these guys wanna pay me 600 hundred dollars to do that for halloween and i just need templates bad

Patience is a virtue young grasshopper. Let life sway like the leaves, just go with the flow. You cannot rush perfection or you will end up with burnt pizza

Awesome build so far guys can't wait to see the finished product!

Sorry bro. The files are no where near done. Heck, the 3d model isn't even done.
And I don't think there is a chance of starting a suit now and being done by Halloween. Your best bet is to freehand it and take shortcuts where you can.
Jfcustoms finished a suit in 5 days. But he's basically a master. You can try to follow TrubalGrinds thread and build one like his (in 1/4 the time he spent) but is you NEED an iron man suit, you could try checking jfcustoms speed build thread. He has templates and lots of speed build tips.
Sorry man. Good luck.

IMIM, that shin n boot look great! Did you finally get the scale right? Or did you just make freehand adjustments?

Yup, nailed the scale finally! The only freehand adjustment is on the red top-back of the shin, and the grey shin-back (actually is only adjustment, since I made the grey bigger). The shin should be made in two pieces, or a bit bigger for the ankle to get thru. In my case, I made it bigger.

Will work on the chest/back hopefully today.
A bit worried on the scale, since the unibeam diameter is smaller than 12cm (4.72in). The whole chest is smaller than the one I build, but since I assume that Mk8 is sleeker, it should have more tightly fit.

Too much side track lately (Spidey and Batman). I am in good mood now that my other builds turned out good. I have to be honest, Batman is my #1 choice of superhero, then Spiderman.

Yesterday my IM suit just drop into floor (withut any reason), scared the hell out of me, because I was sitting next to it. Some of the resin was chipped off.
I will do some upgrade and downgrade (wheathering and battle damage to cover the damages) here and there (another distraction).
I think my old suit is jealous of the new one.

And can I get the files pmed to me I don't care if their not perfect I'm looking for close please I got a party that everyone expects me to build this one for it
In my opinion, considering it would be for halloween and you have 12 days left, you have all your chances with this alternative emergency solution : complete an extremis armour in 10 days (it's far the fastest Iron Man suit to build), and paint it with markVIII-like color sheme within 2 days. You also may use some very quick and simple 3d-like painting effects to improve the rendering of all the thin layers of metal the suit is basically made from (just like when painting warhammer figures).

I can provide a speed-build file for the helmet.

In fact, it's the way I want to emulate my own mkVIII suit, to save the price of my cinema ticket when the movie will be released... and btw to show off a bit too I must confess.

JF you are trully a master, no a grand master !
When I first started this project, I searched any similar outline shape (HALO, superman, seiya, clone trooper, etc, etc)
I almost use steele superman forearm and shin, until I met Helagak and he was kindly helped me out.
Never, ever think about extremis :facepalm. I HATE myself.

Seems that you modified this a lot (I saw your flash one, nice).

Incredible, just incredible.

Back is done, well, almost done. I am too tired to continue.
There are 2 exhaust (or intake) that I haven't made.
I don't know if the picture is clear enough, I just don't know how to took it a better angle.

You're killing me!
This is supposed to adopt speed build technique. It turned out it took half a day to make it (another half for my Spidey suit) :love.

I used 6m foam, which is too thin to this.

Hey, here is a sneak peek at my new version of the thigh. I've only finished the gold plates but it's already looking 100% better than my first (and second and third!!) tries!

Due to my lack of sleep, it turned out I use 4mm instead of 6mm foam for the back. I might do lining using 2mm or 4mm foam. I reserve the 4mm for batman cowl, which I wanna make v2.0.

Now that I take a closer look, I think the back is also too small. Might wanna redo it again.

Some better close up shot
