Re: Iron Man 3. Mark 42 EVA foam build. Update: First paint! 25-04-14
Hey guys,
Yes it has been a long time, this project has been on hold for a while but I found a new drive to continue and i finally started painting!
I descided to do 5 layers PVA 1 primer layer and 1 paint layer, and then as last a clear coat. And just go with this. Its my first build, my first cosplay ever and i just want it finished.
I tested the colors on the boots, i wanted the gold to be a bit more yellow, but overall i'm happy.
Updates will follow more frequently now, so cya all soon!
EDIT:
I just noticed i haven't posted my finished helm + lights yet. For those who wonder, yes the faceplate is glued shut, its to much of a hastle to make an opening faceplate in foam in my opinion. A moving faceplate will have to wait till i make a hard version. Battery pack at the back of my head next to an on off switch.
Also i used Xrobots way of doing the eyes, making it so you can see trough (in daylight that is) and still have 'lit up' eyes.
