Exactly. Like 3 inches up inside the jacket there is a zipper that runs all the way around and connects with the pants. The suspenders are just sewn on and have metal snap buckles towards the back, along with a little padding.

Reviewing my work on this project I discovered that I gave you the wrong information, the Collar ring's O.D is 10.75 inches Dia. not 11 inches. Small point but important.
 
Using a CNC would be great for the connector rings. I wasn't planning on adding the jet packs to mine. Are you considering them?

Heya Taylor! I see you sketched out the Endurance Patch to be 3.5" from bottom tip to top. Based on my rough measurements, I thought it was 4"? I ask because I'm very close to putting in a run of movie accurate patches soon and if people will use these on suits, then it'd match the size to this as well!

Yeah, I have 2 SDCC ones. Maybe the ones in the film were bigger. The US patches on their left shoulder are on ebay too.
 
Hi everybody! This is the first time I've posted on this thread, if it would be helpful I could design a cover for the backpack buckles and the connective pieces that could be 3d printed. Let me know if that would be something worth having or not.
 
I've noticed an absolute avalanche of 'Endurance' patches popping up on eBay lately. Any idea who's got an accurate one? They vary in little ways and sizes between the different sellers.

With the upcoming home release of the film next month I'm guessing we'll get some good screencaps and references... Can't wait to pick up a copy and see it again.

I've got original patch here from the promotional hand-outs. They look amazing but are around 30% smaller than the ones used in the film.
 
The leg straps seems like those buckles on roller skates, but no dice after some intense googlefu. Most likely they cast their own. The upper one is different from the lower one. My plan is to (learn to) rubber cast them. Probably will resin cast the rings (local con is strict about metal parts) and pop some rare earth magnets. I still have six months.

When the home release comes out in a month it is time for ZOOM. ENHANCE. For now these will do.

The front of the pants. This is the only time in the entire movie the bare back of the suit was shown. I guess we will just go off the ones in the concept art.

On the shoulder are two tabs serving as protection. So just two elastic bands and four slide buckles. Standard suspenders with clip modification.

Side note: I want the shirt Brand was wearing.
 
Thanks for those suspender shots! I had the chance to go see the imax encore this Saturday. They showed some cool (excuse the pun) footage of the shoot in Iceland, not too much set work. Awesome to see the suits on a big screen though.
