I will add that these grips fit my FM Mauser replica perfectly out of the box.

Also, one grip side fit perfectly on my real C96, and the other side will require only minor hand fitting. YMMV.

ROTJ guns were MGC replicas and so had painted grips.

Whoops. Quite right, i was thinking of the ESB Norway blaster which had brown grips in ESB and was painted black at some point.
ROTJ grips are indeed brown on the hero non-firing MGC versions.

walnut oil. or any oil that will dry.

vegetable oil and olive oil are bad choices.

I finished mine the old traditional way, put some linseed oil on the base of your thumb, and rub that oil in even when your palm is burning. And repeat over like 3-4 times over a period of weeks.
