I think that when it comes to staying comfy inside one of these lids...the more ideas we have the better. I really like that design, but think I will devise mine so that all the power switches & rheostat adjustments are somewhere down bellow.
I have been toying with the idea of a "plug in harness" that would allow the switches and batteries etc to be contained inside the two belt boxes. The wires could run down your back and on the inside of the belt, to the front. It would look clean...be easy to control and practical...that way I wouldn't have to dig around on the inside of the helmet.
Also the Vader breathing assembly could work off the same principle.
