Caught it last night on Sundance.

One of the most powerful films I've seen in a long, long time. If you ever get a chance to watch it, please don't miss it.

YouTube - This Is England

I rank this one up there with "Once Were Warriors".

It did come out in 2006 so a few years old now :)

BUT.......... If you liked it you may be interested to know that a 4 part TV series with the original cast has been screened in the UK recently.

It is called This is England '86

It catches up with all the characters 4 years on from the end of the film.

It is really good but be warned it is gritty and has some very realistic scenes that are very disturbing. I am not one to be shocked but two of the scenes in the later episodes left me feeling a bit numb and sick to say the least.

Shane Meadows has become one of Englands best directors in the last few years. If you haven't seen it already I recommend Dead Mans Shoes.

Yeah Netflix tries to get me to watch this all the time. Though they are one of the distributors so that might have something to do with it.

Maybe I'll catch it on the stream then.

Loved this movie, going back a bit, but wow....powerful, the beloved enjoyed it too, just not the ending, very ........strong lol.

It is a fantastic movie. Forgot all about it glad you reminded me of it. If you ever get a chance read the book Spirit of 69: Skinhead Bible. Great book. I still have all my Ben Shermans and Fred Perrys and braces. Hell I still wear my Docs
