Can you do a video tutorial that show how you arrived to this final version? It seem the screen used! I would do my kit like you!!! Congrats!!! You are a artist!!!

I have been using the Prop Store photos for reference that were posted by userd1402. For the body I sanded and cleaned the parts then sprayed them with a Gloss Black from a rattle can that can be used on Metal. I sprayed several light coats then let the parts sit overnight. I then sanded the gun with sandpaper ranging from 1600 to 4000 grit and then dry brushed Abteilung Light Rust using prop photos as reference. For the grips I used a flat head screw driver and metal file to mark up the grips to make them look worn. I masked the coin and airbrushed Tamiya Medium Brown. The coin/screw hole were airbrushed with Alcad Polished brass and clear coated. I then gave the grips a wash with Ultimate Modeling Products Dark Dirt. I let the wash sit for a few minutes and then started wiping it away with wet/dry cotton buds until I got the color variation I was after. I'm still in the process of finishing it up but it's mostly detail work at this point.

Looks great, Fallen21! Would be interested in seeing some pix of other people's guns after bluing with Aluminum Black. That's what I would like to try with mine (if I ever get it - hard to be patiently waiting for this one).

My understanding is that Aluminum black bluing will work. That’s what people are using on the denix replicas anyway.

I've used Birchwood Casey Super Blue and Perma Blue on cast white metal to good effect. I too always assumed it wouldn't work and so didn't try it during my first ten years of prop building!

Most recently I used it on some Rich Coyle Blade Runner blaster parts and it came out nicer than the recommended pewter black.

Can’t see a reason why not. Those are the sort that is a real projectile+case, with no powder or primer. Anyone with a reloading press can make them for a few cents a piece. I’d offer to make you some, but I don’t have the components for 45ACP.

Ah yeah I see :/ Dammit, I hadn't tried checking out yet. hmmm.. I need 12 for me and my friend. I'll have to see if there's anything else I want. If so, should I buy some for you too? I don't think it'll be that expensive to send them to Mallorca.
