Even worse, whoever was tempted by the Grail would have had their IQ level dropped by about 100 points the moment they picked it up, thereby ensuring that not only would the Grail remain safe, but the Nazis would have killed themselves in the process.
Sorry, I just can't get over how stupid Elsa acted in that last part. Even as a five year old toddler who saw the film in theaters I thought "Why is she acting crazy all of a sudden?". If this was supposed to be her reaction to it, why didn't it happen the moment Indy successfully drank from it? I guess Spielberg was in his "bros before h***" phase of his life.

However, there may be some minor, left over side-effect for Indy, which explains why he is still seems as fit as he is in Crystal Skull.
And yes, if he had drank from the wrong cup, he would have died.

The Imax screenings look like poop, unfortuently. Every theater I've checked in an accessible range for us is one of those phony Imax-branded things...such a shame, as I remember seeing Raiders on a REAL IMAX screen from a 70mm print at Ontario Place back in the day. So, anyone going for the marathon at the Alderwood in Seattle? Anyone know how/if the thing is going to be broken up (intermissions? Please please please....)? Going to truck down the wife and kids from BC and have a blast through the day with Indy again, but I can't see a 7 year old hanging in for 9 solid hours without some kind of break.

I'm in Colorado and I spoke with a rep. from one of the two theaters showing the Indy Quadrilogy and she told me there will be a 20 minute intermission between each film and that there is a limited edition poster and a lanyard that will be given to attendees. She didn't know if the lanyard will have the theater logo on it or the Indiana Jones logo.

Actually, I was referring to the Indy Marathon.
The IMAX screening should score you a mini poster.
If you purchase your tickets for the Indy Marathon, then you'll receive the full-size one sheet free - or at least that's the plan.

Just got back from seeing them. (I saw Raiders in Imax earlier in the week)
Raiders and Temple were good, but man, Last Crusade looked and sounded exception! They must have used a 70 mm sound track, cause the things you could hear in the surrounds were spectacular. Haven't really heard them since '89 when I saw it in 70mm.
I believe these were the cleaned up Blurays and they did look really good, so I'm excited for the blurays.
The only problem we had at the showing was when TOD was going to start. Paramount logo up then froze and shut down. Next try, same thing. 3rd times the charm, right? Wrong, same thing, but a little longer - went to the gong then froze. 4th time - finally, it worked, but the damn lights came up all the way halfway through the movie. What a disappointment! TOD is my favorite Indy film, so to have it ruined this way was tough.
The free give aways were pretty cool, except for the lanyard which was just for amc theaters - nothing Indy.

AWESOME!!!! Just got back with the family from seeing the trilogy...man, what a great way to cap off the character - riding off into the sunset like that. SO glad they didn't feel a need to go back and ruin that by dragging Indy back for a fourth adventure! (seriously though, three films in a row was the max we could do in one sitting).
Holy crap they looked good! Absolutely spectacular presentation all around. Clean, but pleanty of grain; colour was PERFECT, and the ORIGINAL EFFECT SHOTS WERE BACK! Thank you, Steven! And seeing them back on a HUGE screen again was magic. No other way to describe it except magic. I noticed things about Raiders I'd never seen before (HEY! His workgloves are a Large!
