Exactly what I thing of greenmachines: first his handle; there's the word MACHINE in there:p:eek::eek: Then, the amount of researches, buying stuff and transforming it, fittings, hair, beard/mustache/hair/eyebrows, etc...I sometimes get dizzy just looking at his threads:lol::cool::cool:(y)(y)(y):notworthy::notworthy::notworthy:

Great thread. I dont know how you do it. My mind is blown.

With that face there's deffo some scope for starlord in there, and maybe something from Josh Brolin.
You have a wonderful grasp of faces. My computer tells me Pratt and Brolin should be on my list. If I do Pratt it will be Starlord because Pratt's Parks and Rec doesn't have a true single costume. For all the folks that don't have facial recognition built in, they recognize only the costume. For Brolin, I would need to live at the gym for a long while but would love to maybe cheat and throw on one of his armor outfits. My wife would die a little though because I would buzz cut like Brolin and then she would hunt you down for suggesting it..... hahaha hahaha

Character: Quint, captain of the Orca
Actor: Robert Shaw
Movie: Jaws

This build is a bittersweet one. I had noticed the likeness when I was working on a few of my bearded characters but had always known that Shaw looked like numerous uncles on my Dad's side of the family. Dad's generation was the muttonchops just like shaw, so, most of my childhood family pictures has at least one Shaw, if not two or more, in the background (Dad had 7 brothers). Most of my disguise builds include me prepping, months in advance, to look as much like the character before needing any prosthetics. It is a huge inspiration to continue when you can wake up looking like the target and it makes the final pose day much easier. When I was nearing the last weeks of this build, I was floored to realize I had successfully disguised myself as my late father. It was not a fun day. But the final poses needed the faux hair and some facial tweaks so I was happy to close in on being more Quint as quickly as possible before yet another person mentioned how much I looked like Dad.

I still need to find a good pose boat but here is me having fun at our local store:

Which reminds me, here are the links to the build threads (how to and process). This first one has my full "Quint at Career day" story at the very beginning, to which, I have cracked myself up, many times, reading it, aloud, in Quint's voice:

Of course, I have my eye on a new boat at:

So, Quint should have some additional photos coming soon..... aka, me photoshopping the heck out of my Quint poses onto flimzy 's new Orca.

This is another winner greenmachines:love::love::love::love: and yes, my family is also saying that I look like my late Dad...it warms my heart and soul knowing that there's a little of him in me (well, a lot actually;))

Yep, in our county, I could dress up as Quint, nametag and all, and all I would get is, "Are you Darrell's boy? You look just like him."
