Pretty excited for GOTG so I decided to put together my own copy of Star Lord's Awesome Mix Vol. 1. Made the label on side A with a bit of weathering and side B is clean. The tape label used on the soundtrack cover is different from the one shown in the trailers so I decided to approximate the "trailer label" here. I also added the tracks from the soundtrack. I plan on creating an extended version once Gunn releases the complete playlist. Anyway... here it is!

I've been tweaking my designs a bit... Here's what I'm referring to as the OST (Original Soundtrack) version of the cassette. The label on mine isn't nearly as yellow as the OST cassette, but I think that color is most likely a product of lighting. Still, I gave it a bit of a yellow tinge.

And here's my version of the screen used cassette as seen in the trailers. There are some minor differences between the two versions.

Love you label for the cassette, its spot on! I was wondering if you had plans on sharing the label for other people to make their own? Or how you got the font so exact?

Keep up the good work man.

Well, the studio was nice enough to provide us all with a high resolution image of the tape on the soundtrack cover. From that I was able to extract the lettering and vectorize it.

Ok that's what I'm doing too. I'm using illustrator to vectorize it and for the font I did a live trace which converts it to paths.
