I used to say I cheated but now 3D printing is just another tool. I draw them up based on a silicone bucket we have at work that look very close, then pushed print.

Did a bit of rope work, the 3rd time lucky , I’ve tried roto casting the barrels, didn’t work , I’ve tried casting them solid terrible, so now I’ve 3d printed a PLA spacer / cavity, fingers crossed.

I use Anycubic printers , there cheat but work really well. I have a form 2 but the resins are so expensive and my anycubic print just as well and faster.

flimzy, my apologies but I am not wrapping my brain around how you are doing this. I see a 2 part mold but also a 2 part resin (maybe no, it is just extra inlets?)? Are the extra tubes for escaping air? Or are they for injected air?

My guess was you were roto casting but I see no spinner... so manual rotocasting? Sorry, I got lost in all the extra inlets.

Yep to vent trapped air, I was going to make a rotocaster but after doing 2 by hand I realised it was never going to work.

I've been a teetotaller since birth but You may want to get some 1:1 wine for that 1:1 table to celebrate a days amazing work completed.

During filming, Robert Shaw hid bottles all over the Orca. He even tape a bottle of Wild Turkey under the table. Ian found that out reading his Dads diaries.

Flimzy? Why a heavier resin barrel? That's going to be a ton of weight in the bow compared to 3D printed barrel, that floats to boot.

there not that heavy. and it can take a lot of weight before it affects the water line. love the idea of taping a bottle under the table

the only place to fill the mold up was the caps. if they get blocked the heated gas's expands the mold. think I've cracked it now with the hollow core.

It been raining today so spent the day on the crew. I found a possible body on CG trader. it needed a lot of work splitting for printing. but once that was don't I scaled it for each crew member. I've got Bloops sculpts now so itching to print them.
