Im an Officially licensed prop maker now!!!

Re: Im an Officially licensed prop maker now!!!

Well, it was bumped by a noob who posted solely for the purpose of increasing post count so that he can access the restricted forums (he mentioned this reason in one of the ancient threads he bumped!). I guess the mods have already deleted those postings.
I think we are better off just reporting newbie necro posters.

I asked about this in the Question/Suggestion area and no one seemed to have a problem with it. In fact people seemed to be offended that I even said anything about it.

Yeah, bumping an ancient thread just to say "Cool!" or "Wow!" is one thing, but this guy specifically mentioned he's just posting to increase his post count so that he can access a restricted forum (most probably the JY). And not just this thread,,, he bumped another one too quoting that same reason. If the mods hadn't deleted his post, he would've probably bumped a dozen dead threads then we'd have the zombie thread apocalypse here on the RPF! :lol

Noobie?

The guy who bumped the thread is from 2001 and has 4,205 posts...

FREE POST!!! LOL! :p

I agree that posts like this shouldn't be bumped unless the OP has something new to add. If he obtained a new liscense etc.

And I think it's OK for a newb to bump old research threads etc. But necro for the obvious free post shouldn't be allowed. IMHO

No, the poster necro posting for no reason had the post deleted. The old-timer just responded to the post after that.

i'm actually glad it got bumped. I had forgotten about this prop maker and it renewed my interest in Smallville stuff. I don't think it's wrong to bump something back into view. Why not. This forum is about props. Just because he isn't doing something new doesn't mean it doesn't deserve a look see again.

Oh yeah...when are u getting the Fortress Dagger back in???

That is what the search function is for. We have newbies bumping stuff to get access to the other forums. THAT is NOT what this place is about.

I look forward to an official kryptonite rock...

At least I hope you will do one. The one we saw thru out the first seasons would be fantastic.

[edit] Aw man, just saw the date on this. Frak.

Re: Im an Officially licensed prop maker now!!!

There has been one available on the site for a little while now. You can also get the Kent's lead box that they stored it in. The rock was actually cast off of the screen used item.

ok I had no idea how old this thread was but I would definitely like to know if the ad a digital sound is still available from the OP and if you can recreate a sonic screwdriver sized set up? if need be I can make the circuits board here on my mill once you have the chips designs and loaded with what ever programming needed. I am not looking to just use the sound used on the show Doctor Who though. I want my own custom sound or sounds if possible. I'll check back later for info but if you can PM me details on costs and such and how much of assembly could be accomplished on your end.
