I haven't heard from him for months now.. Last time he said he was going to be refunding the amount he owed, and never did.. After 2 weeks, I started emailing him 3 times a week for about a month and never got a response..

Okay, let me try this.

If you ordered something from Eli besides the POTC map and didn't get it, please post that in this thread, or (even better!) in the thread I started for this very purpose, or send me a PM if you want privacy, and make sure to list the item(s).

I got a shipment by mistake (not what the POTC map I'd ordered) and until Eli tells me where to send it, I've got somebody's beloved prop delivery sitting in my house gathering dust. I'd like to make somebody's holiday season brighter and deliver them, but I don't know where they go. My only other way to figure it out is to find somebody here who ordered exactly the item (and amounts if it was more than one) that I know I've got.

I know there are members in Pomona or the surrounding area. Im in Redondo Beach about 40 miles from Pomona. Ive showed up on a few peoples doorsteps over the years but there was always items in question that existed. Im not sure the items exist in his hands. Not saying he hasnt performed, just think that if the items were in hand, they would have been sent out.

Its artwork in digital form.
artwork delivered to print facility,
print facility prints maps,
job is paid for upon pick up.
Posters are rolled,
put in shipping tubes,
post office run.

I understand bad times have fallen on him but somewhere along the way, he needed help in this project to complete it. That time is long over due. If the print work is done, the posters should be at the printer if not in hand.

Ive no stake in this claim, just curious as ive first hand dealt with a one time good friend that would accept funds for items then just not ship them that ended up costing me thousands of dollars out of pocket. Money has its own way of vanishing be it good or ill intentions.

Well, one of the reasons I think he replied to me more recently, as opposed to other members, is that I offered to help with this run and future prints as I have access to a really good canvas printer that is much cheaper than everyone else I've seen. So, he e-mailed me a few times about details... but then, fell off radar again! Sheesh.

Hell... at this point, I might be happy just to get the digital file, do a run of prints and send them to those who ordered. Even if they aren't mounted on the bamboo, etc... at least they'd have something to work with to finish the pieces themselves.

I'm not sure that's appropriate. If you feel it's necessary to share his address with people who have dealt with him, fine, but don't post it on a public forum.

well, I am in finals week for school for the next two weeks and holidays are coming up and i AM sure he wont be a happy camper having some-one show up around the holidays (even if he is in the wrong)...but if need be I can try to drop by in January.

As long as it doesnt put me into any danger or the Mods oppose of this. I have no stake in this, but hate to see other members get taken advantage of..

Don't always believe what is written here by members not holding their end of the bargain up!! I did some digging and found him and his partner in crime on facebook, at the time I was looking into it they both had their profiles open to public viewing. From what I was reading, neither one of them had fallen on bad times, and they continued to take peoples money on ebay without sending out the items that had been paid for. This was going on until very recently!!!!

I am not sure if there is anywhere on these boards to have a section for members to post about other members who are taking peoples money or trading props, but not holding up to their side of the deal?? I know this can be a touchy subject, but I believe their are a few members out there still playing games like this!!!

I think it would be a good idea if there was a section where certain members are reported to the RPF staff for dodgy dealings, if the RPF Staff can then contact these members, and then if they are not satisified with their response, put them onto a list warning other RPF members to be careful when dealing with these people. If the initial reported member then redeems themselves, then they can be taken off the list... something along these lines.

Georgieindy, is spot on, I was dragged around with a deal also!!!
In a different forum , for those who sell or buy , they have a feedback score to refer to, it does not necessary mean its bad , it just gives you a run down of how deals are handled and how long it takes to execute them..
Also something i really hate, it is usually friends or mates of who is in question that post " i have had dealings with this guy and he's always come through"
or this is my favourite
"I don't mind waiting 7 months as you have never let me down!"
I have however learned a very important lesson here, if you don't get the item within the paypal time, PUT A CLAIM, if then he miraculously shows up with the item, cancel the claim, if he has not, get your money back!!
if he is as honest as they ALL claim, he will give it back and give you an option of when the item is ready to buy it again!!
