I am looking to replicate this prop for my man cave and I was wondering if anyone here has ID'd what looks like an answering machine above the keyboard.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

See that's, how the cyclons beat them so much, they used windows... j/k

It would seem that what your looking for is an older MS media keyboard(maybe the 600 series), upon first look. However the only company I've known to use "chrome" media buttons is HP. Also that could just be a custom paint job with some metallic accents. I'm modding my old Saitek Eclipse myself, to give it new life. You could always do the same allowing for a bit more of a modern keyboard(ie wireless) then something from 2003.

As for the machine above the keyboard, some what reminds me of the old tape/cd walkmans with the controls on top of the lids. Perhaps from an old Aiwa boombox.

I decided to stop looking around for a keyboard because I knew I needed a functioning USB wireless keyboard.

Hmmm, a boombox interface - I hadn't thought of that. I'll expand my search.

Any other opinions?

Thanks,
Sean

I was sure of the answering machine, the ones on the Peggy CIC table are answering machines. Ask Joe, he might know or have the details.

Just talked to joe, he run's battlestar wiki, the machine is actually a allum box with 4 separate answering machines inside, they still worked, they could record voices and play them back at a push of the button, they actually wired all 4 into one plug, very cool.
