This years costumes turned out pretty well so I figured Id post to break the BTTF monopoly HA!.
I made my son a dragon radar recently. And he insisted on keeping with the theme, for our costumes. Ironically my wife already had turquoise hair so no brainer. Namek here we come!! Her dress was store bought and I modified the fit, collar, and belt, to be more accurate, My Vegeta costume, and my sons Gohan costume, were entirely made from scratch using eva foam, and various fabric. The dragon balls are 14" xmas ornaments I painted. My one star ball was left whole , while my sons 7 star ball was made into his candy bucket. The dragon radar I made about a month ago there's a build thread in the prop section if anyone is interested.

My nephew arrived and immediately decided he wanted no part of halloween. If he "couldnt be dragon ball like his cousin". So we whipped together a makeshift goku costume for him. Crisis averted. Goku saves the day again.

Sugoi ! ~ Awesome sight :cool
Especially the family cosplay concept.Keep the photos coming !

*Note: learned a trick from IndieFilmGeek; similar to Iron Man's palm repulsor attack, you could use the innards from a disposable flashcam to simulate energy attacks from the glove

Thanks George! The flashing glove trick sounds awesome! I may have to do that. Im currently working on adding sound to the dragon radar. Maybe Ill tackle that one soon as well.
