It has been brought to my attention today that Richard Martin, AKA Fettster had been telling people not to send me busts to paint because I am in league with Acid Burn who has been banned for recasting. Fettster has been making it clear to his clients that he will not sell them his work if I am going to be doing the painting.I am putting this to a STOP right now. Yes Fettster and I had a falling out some time ago when I wanted to buy his original Terminator 3 head so I can offer finished casts. He quickly backed out of the deal over petty payment issues. We had a falling out. Some time went by and Acid Burn who is now known to offer recasts on ebay, started selling the same bust. I at no time or ever supplied Acid Burn with Richards bust. No matter how much I dislike the guy, I don't operate that way. I had painted up a few of them that I got directly from Fettster and sold them on ebay and painted one or two for clients who sent me them.
Yes, I used to get some Tony Stark and Sgt. Candy Arnold heads from Acid Burn when he was still a member here. He offered them out in the open and no one ever accused him of recasting so I figured he was safe. As soon as I found out that he was recasting without permission, I emailed him and told him I will no longer be doing business with him. He has been using my photos and Reelprops photos without our permission. This does not mean we are part of what he does. I have never offered his recast work for sale anywhere so the proof is right there. You will never see another T3 head offered on ebay or anywhere by me unless it was one of Fettsters originals sent to me. Richard has this in his head that I supplied him and I'm part of this which I AM NOT. I would have been banned long ago with him if this were even remotely true. I would not even have had the time to send him something to recast as my clientele will tell you. I get the bust, have it painted and finished in a few days and shipped out to them. I never take more than a week to finish a piece so I don't even have the time to send it out, have molds made and have it sent back. That would take weeks and I've never taken that long sending anything back to a client.
I have painted many busts from Vashdestampede, most of which are very limited runs. Has anyone seen any recasts of his available such as Lex, Welling,Hathaway,etc? NO……. That is because I do not violate sculptors trust. And never will.
Now my good client is telling me people are not allowing him to buy their original busts because he uses me to paint them. They have even refunded his payment without explaining why. This is not fair to him and me. My name is being dragged through the mud for absolutely no reason other than a stupid assumption. NEVER ONCE have I told someone to stay away from Fettster or try to hurt his business. I may not like the guy for what he did to me, but I respect the guy enough to let him be. What he is doing to me is UNACCEPTABLE and SLANDER. I will not stand for it. My regular clients who have been using me for years know my work ethics and service. I'm sorry to rehash this again, but I will not let some childish sculptor with a grudge try to destroy my reputation. RICHARD, I AM NOT THE SOURCE OF YOUR RECASTED T-3 HEAD. This is the last time I will tell your this. You have been ignoring anything I had posted on the matter Richard. Richard, let's straighten this out once and for all.
