...So I might as well start a thread in the showcase section.
Here's a pic I'm especially proud of:

That was a collection of much of what I'd made as of about seven months ago. There are a few missing. Notably...
The first serious costume attempt I made. A pair of Stormtroopers made by following the excellent tutorials at studiocreations.com:
I cheated a bit when I decided to go with a Don Post Classic Action helmet to fit my short-for-a-stormtrooper frame. The whole project was a great adventure from start to finish and I only came close to burning down my house four times.
When Episode III came out, I went in costume with a group of friends. When one of them had a girlfriend (now wife) with nothing to wear, I lent her my armor and cranked out the world's worst Boba Fett in four days:
We had a good time:
Since I'd milked the stormtrooper costume for three consecutive Halloweens, I decided I needed to do something different. So, in 2005, I made a Predator costume:
That one got a lot of attention. The following Halloween I had a build that didn't come together in time, so I bought a Spiderman costume from someone here on the forum and called it good enough. Then, in 2007, I decided to be a Spartan from 300:
2008 I was planning on doing the Red vs. Blue costumes with a group of friends, but I kept missing Halloween. It wasn't until 2010 that we pulled it together:
Here's some detail shots:
When it became clear that it's a bit tough to move through a crowd in the Halo Spartan armor, I made some UNSC Trooper costumes to escort them:
I think the look the part:
In 2011 I built Isaac Clarke's Engineering RIG from Dead Space 2:
2012 was a busy year. I built a Blood Eagle Pathfinder from TRIBES: Ascend:
And the Hindu goddess Kali from the game SMITE:
Then there were the Space Marines:
I also built the Imperial Guardsmen to go with them:
For Halloween, we all went as Ghostbusters:
The Ghostbusters build was mostly a bunch of shopping, with the exception of making the Proton Packs:
Which looked good up close:
I've still got quite a to-do list as far as future builds are concerned. Right now I'm working on at least five simultaneous projects, so I'll be posting here as I complete them.
Thanks for looking.
