Hunter's prey progress thread--~~UPDATE~~--

I'm considering repaintint the dragon head indo a skull-like visage and having the blades extend from the mouth.... I could just unlatch them and walk around with yet another trophy. :(

Just want to bump this and say that even though I haven't updated in a bit I'm still keeping this at the front of my mind.

Feet are ready to be painted up again..... just have to wait for the weather to cooperate.

the armor is sitting in my basement.... it's a set of fighting armor, so it'll weigh me down a tad.....

Kithunter.... still waiting on that bio.... just saying

the gaunts will be different than usual..... one will be the Mystic Knights gauntlet and the other... well.... I don't know......

the shin armor will be the baseball catcher's shinguards....

I'm not going to have access to the Mystic Knight gauntlet for a couple more weeks..... I have family coming up and the younger boys have a tendency to break stuff... let's just say that any toy that currently have is in more pieces than what it originally came in.

It will be delayed slighty due to this..... I don't want to risk anything.

Should have hte bio by next week, tho, so I'll take pics then. :)

alrighty... my company left and I got into my Dragon gauntlet box.

I took it down as far as I dared and still be able to reassemble it....

the way it stands, I can use just the dragon head on the armor and pop it back onto the rest of the toy later on.

And my hand won't fit through the gauntlet as-is anymore.... I think I outgrew it. :)

Now, the next question is this: where on my suit should I wear the dragon head?

I think I can leave it as-is color-wise... I think the gold paint looks too good to mess up. The head is made of plastic with seperate horns that just snap on.

I'm thinking of a bunch of ideas... strapping it to my arm like the P2 elder and have the blades coem out of the mouth, attach it to my upper arm opposite the "two-face" bio that daywalker gave me, or like you guys said on the lower area.

Wherever it goes, it'll be temporary.... the first set of armor I'll be using will be a quick fix for WWC.

So you will be able to go then, is right?

I'm praying so. Won't know until a week before at earliest.

If WWC gets cancelled on my end, I'll make up for it. with a really short "blair witch" type video with the suit. :)
what? It could be interesting....
I agree with Rock use it as a cod, however I would not leave it gold, get some ivory fusion and paint it bone. That will take the "cheapness" out of the toy!

Just a suggestion!

And another suggestion read some of the "foamie threads and give those a shot. you can do some pretty cool **** with that and a dremmel!

I think chuck told me Pete used foamies for some of his stuff and it is amung the best!
It would be a cheap and easy solution to your armor issues!

I don't wanna repaint this, as it's the only one I can find for under $30 and it holds some memories for me..... plus the kid next door loves to play with it. :)

in-person it doesn't look as toy-fied. The gold has a pretty decent look to it.

And, yes.... I had thought about dremeling the eyes out and repainting it into a skull....

One idea I had was to attach it to the forearm and have hte blades coem out of the mouth.

Foamies and linoleum will be the top two building materials for me for the main portion of the armor....

I just need to decide between a P1, P2, or AVP armor style......

My plasma cannon is sitting in the garage waiting for the clearcoat to dry... same with the feet....

they're the same set as before, just fresh paint and a clearcoat.

next on the list is gettign some flesh-colored "tights" and adding the brown details on.... I think I could just wear 'em and paint everything on while they're on me... the paint I have for them is pretty thinned down.

I'm going for a two-colored scheme of silver and hammered copper from Krylon.

by tomorrow morning/afternoon I'll have pics of the cannon.... a repainted water gun is not the best, but all I could do on a budget...
