Human cloning in Japan

Has anyone seen these dolls before? 3d scans of your own head then made into an action figure isn't a new idea but if this is genuine then they seem to have nailed it. On the one hand it kinda looks like photoshop but it's an incredibly elaborate website and set up for a hoax.....Thoughts anyone?

I can't see the other thread as I don't have access to that part of the forum yet, but looks photoshopped to me

That can not be real, read through the cloning process. It says the machine takes the soul out of your body for .9 seconds... I'm sorry but first of all how can you isolate someone's "soul" inside the body and then proceed to remove it temporarily? No..

All it's doing is getting a scan of your head (not a bad scan) and then they use a color 3D printer to make it as an object, not anything crazy.

Sounds sort of similar to these guys.
Nothing of the sort. Those you link to make your face from pictures in something called facegen and below is what the colored version vs the actual model of the face looks like. The whole likeness rests on the colored layer and not the sculpt.

What the Japanese place does is scanning your actual face and printing that. If they didn't use the color printer, but just printed a solid one color piece it would be as good as the most detailed sculpts.

BIG difference.

Actually, I meant that the services sound similar, because they basically take photos and create a small scale replica of your head from them.

Yeah, similar like a drawing is to a photograph... so, really not that similar. The ThatsMyFace guys use the lazy option and charge a lot for inferior product.
