How much will you pay for a British No 3 Mk I Rod Grenade near mint condition

YES! I have the possibility to buy a real one, BUT, don´t know how much will be a fair price to pay. If you bought one of these babes in the past, I would love to hear how much did you pay.:confused

That sounds right. It also depends on it's look. If it's more accurate to the original, I would pay a little more.

Well, I requested him some photos. Will email them tomorrow. And IMG, 125 dollars! A british collector told me about 200 pounds, and this collector, the one in posession of the grenade asked me 400 pounds. IF he is not Toydarian will try to use the Force to bargain.

Everything costs twice as much here even if it originates here :lol

I paid about £300 for a mint one about 7-8 years ago. The thing is they aren't like graflexes. Grenade collectors were not throwing these in the bin before we worked out what they were. They were expensive before we started buying them for the Obi lightsaber, and we just pushed up demand a little. :p

£400 sounds a little high, but if it's exactly the right one in mint condition...well, depends how bad you want it!

Well, as everybody here will love to get hook on one of these. But I have a concience to live with too, I am not willing to pay that money, BUT, as I told before I am willing to bargain. Seems to be a nice person and reserouceful. Could be have more than one. We will see. Thanks for your feedback guys!

Given the problems you've had with mail, I hope you will find a way to receive it securely if you do buy it.

I know of two grenade sales in which the price was far more than what your seller is asking, FWIW.

In both cases the grenade was considered to be a particularly accurate one, although as with any of the ones seen so far, they were not dead on.

I am not aware of shipping regulations for that kind of deactivated weapons. Will call on Monday to find out. And yes, don´t why, but every shipment from UK took more than 25 days to arrive. Sometimes never arrived at all. Did not have problems with registered Royal Mail. But second method is hell expensive for small packages.:$

$200 max IMHO would seem to be a decent price, given the scarcity and condition... I picked up an old Lithgow stamped No. 1, Mk. III* SMLE years ago (and subsequently sold it months later :unsure) online for about $175, in roughly 80% condition, so any such accessory to an SMLE would likely rival the current price of the rifle itself if not more (besides cheapies like magazines and the like)...

Here is it. This is the one the seller offered me by 400 pounds. Resolution is not good, but OK to compare. What do you think?

Seems to me that the neck is a little bit rounded, but could be a defect of the low resolution photo.:confused

Not very accurate at all sorry to say, looks to be in good condition.
I certainly would not pay what the gentelman is asking.
The vane sleeve is the wrong type, the neck is wrong as you stated, and the frag section has accuracy problems too.

Are you comparing the frag body with the chronicles photos or the Tunisia shot? Yes, the neck is def wrong, like MK2 or so. And what about the vane sleeve? I don´t see what´s the difference. Asking this cause I am really a curious person. I will never learn If I don´t ask. :cool

PS: forget the vane sleeve. I just noticed the difference.

Look at the circled portions of your pic compared to the real prop.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good find, just IMHO not worth the pricetag.
