Just got a couple of mace end done by a local welder and now I need to give them the finishing touch.
The fins are made from 1/8" sheet metal and still have the steel blue coating that it came with, and there're of course black burnt marks all over them from the welding.
What do you guys do? Grind/sandpaper/file off everything to the bare metal, then prime and paint it silver?
Or grind/sandpaper/file off everything to the bare metal, and let it rust naturally?
