Start off with the bio mask and put A LOT of shadow in it. Let that do the work for you. Give it that hunter in the darkness look I'm almost done with my new one and ill post it in a bit but I use action figures and a lamp. Also watch the movies and pause it on a neat pose sketch it then take ur time filling it in

see this is one i just did. like i said tick with the shadows. It makes it easier and helps u out. just like a real pred. good luck :)

Practice is the absolute best thing you can do. Always make time to draw a little each day and the quality of your work will skyrocket.
Studying basic human anatomy (muscle structures and such) is a big help as well, but that too improves with practice. The more you do it, the more you understand how each shape gracefully flows into the next, whether your pose is dynamic or simple. Using an action figure or model might be of help here. Others have mentioned body building magazines or comics; all are excellent ways to teach yourself how things connect.

When drawing anything, what I usually do to start is sketch out the body to make sure my proportions and muscles look right, then I lightly pencil the armor or clothing on top of it. If there aren't any issues there, that's when I finally darken my lines up. The shading comes last and again, looking at a model with a small lamp as a light source can serve you well. You can also hone your skills at trying different textures in your shadows, so that they vary on different materials.

As for character-specific details, like PredatrHuntr said, drawing from observation and having lots of references really helps out. Always lightly sketch your stuff first though, since it makes erasing easier and forces you to go over the same thing over and over until your mind gets a feel for it and memorizes how to do it correctly.

practice in drawing human anatomy well first, with the right proportions and such. A predator is basically that with a hell of an ugly head after all LOL :p

Quoted for truth. (y)
