hi all,

im trying to colour urethane rubber from the standard straw colour to black.

I tried mixing in acrilic paint but its wrecked my mold as the rubber didnt set.

can i use powder? if so, what sort and where can i get some.

someone gotta know

smooth on makes tints to color it but depending on the amount you need, it can get expensive. Deep black is not easy to do with "just a little" tint. You can cheat the system by using leather dye on the finished product and paint. Of course its always better to start with black ;)

This is the link for tints if you can get the page to actualy load.

Silicone Inc also sells a silicone painting system that rocks.

Best to give them a call as their site and productline are rather technical in appearance but the staff will low brow. :D
