Hot Toys Samurai Predator 1/6 Scale On Preorder

Aside from the (already mentioned) teeth and nose, that is killer. Have they been reading the lair to see what people like? I don't think anyone can doubt it...
 
he is certainly an ugly mother ******, no wonder they dropped his ass off in japan!! but i will gladly take one :D

i'm all about some "samurai shiz" as jehdin put it so this will be a welcome addition... damn is he ugly though ...
 
wouldn't it be nice if this spawned a series of human samurai outta hot toys? i think so... not that my wallet doesn't already accuse me of neglect...
 
Not too bad, another variation on our favorite hunter.
Now if it was Bovine 13's Samurai suit as a figure,...or some Robs works of art, that would be awesome :)
 
@raiyuri_works, I would 100% much rather have your elder Muretsu samurai than this hot toys samurai.

Looks like they have drawn inspiration from some of the garage kit ideas. And they have recently done the Norland armour which probably got them in the mood for more.
 
I thought this was going to be a statue? I guess figured the price is due to his armor or all the moving piece's on his armor.But wow how did this style get this popular? I am glad this came out , it gives me a break from buying stuff. Do to hate on this style but they could have went in many directions comics , Narin concepts , but samurai?
 
Whats wrong with samurai? The ones who made this are japanese, theyre just proud of their culture. I dont see why we cant make certain themes for these creatures. Doesnt mean its not in the movies or gamestheyre not predator anymore. The only thing that bugs me are the human features its got.

I love the Japanese culture , dont read to heavy into it. But as far as the choices of an Artist choice theres a great deal of idea's that comic fans and others have drawn in the past.An Indian predator would make more sense but would look stupid, due to hunting and trophy's.There's no clan of Samurai predators flying through space and boarding space ships.Sorrow by no means is this an attack, just debating for fun.I think they did a great job and with his mask on i might as well buy a 1/6 samurai with claws and a plasma caster.

@zuckuss77- We're cool bro. I understand where you coming from, we all have our preferences and opinions. We dont have to like everything pred related. Who knows whats the backstory in this guy. He might just have a comic in the box that explains his story, just kiddin.

This piece is growing on me. The more I Look at it the more I appreciate it. Im starting to ignore in what my opinion its shortcomings. I just might have to buy an alternate head for this guy.
 
I foresee a big sale of my Gears of War, SPAWN (although they don't sell well), and possibly my 3 3/4 SITH collection going online here in the coming week.

I am really, really fighting with myself on this guy. The price tag is just too large, but the character and the accessories are something to be desired.
 
Well... revising an old topic.

Just got confirmation on my second to last payment of this figure. :D I was battling my inner self to get this PRED. I wanted it but didn't like the top of the noggin with the weird looking bumps. :) After a little debating and the chance to pick my payment plan... I went for it. The bumps will just have to be covered by the awesome helmet it comes with. Plus, the accessories!!! Oh my... tons of accessories for this guy. o_O

I had a hard time taking any of the other HT/SSC PREDS out of their cardboard and plastic prisons but this one... this one may have to be the one to display.
