Hot Topic Freddy Sweater...

Looks really good Doh2!!

Spray paint seems simple but really gives great results as you've proved.

Thanks for the feedback!

My job is having Halloween festivities on Friday so I'll post photos once I'm fully suited up. My next step is to get a haircut this week so that my silicone mask fits better.

to make the neck and ends "crusty" and have them stand up, I would soak em in glue like elmers or superglue and then hit the ends with some black spray paint.

Fire does stuff to fabric that normal scissors can't replicate so it doesn't matter if the glue shows, the paint will cover it up

I never would've thought of that -- I'll try glue for sure. Thanks for the tip!

We had a contest at work today; I lost to a dude dressed as Beyonce. Oh, well. At least I scored a bag of candy for Honorable Mention.

Wanted to show off what I did with the OLD Hot Topic sweater I have.

I bought it...three or four years ago and it's the sweater with the green cuffs and collar and was VERY nice quality but just so inaccurate. Well, this year my classic Part 6 style Freddy costume sort of had a problem because the guy that offered to sell me his silicone Freddy mask decided to not answer my PMs and just ignored me after going so far as to name a price and then after I agree... nothing. So I decided I was going to do something stylized and different and have it work without a mask since I didn't have time to get one.

What I did with my old sweater is this:

Basically I took a black t-shirt and put it over the sweater and then stitched the sleeve ends and collar together. I then took a serrated steak knife to it and slashed the shirt to reveal the sweater but only on the right side. My concept is a sort of possession or transformation into Freddy. I plan on using some fake skin and making some ragged oles in my right cheek and add some fake blood or red make-up to the holes to simulate the burns.

Think I like most about this sweater shirt is that it makes you want to hold the right arm out to show the shredded sleeve and it makes brandishing the glove THAT much more fun XD

Well, classic Part 6 Freddy NEXT year I guess XD

That sucks about the mask! Nice job on the concept costume, however. Let's see photos once you do your make-up.

I asked them today if they would go on sale after halloween - i was told they probably would, and you can have an item from the website shipped to a shop near you for a dollar.
