Pretty much what I was expecting to see out of these two guys. a lot of stuff I really look forward to seeing, and a lot of stuff I'd be fine to find out didn't make it into the movie.

The "A female doctor? impossible... would you like some heroin?" joke is right up my alley, but the "self photograph" while holding the queen thing isn't my speed. still looking forward to it about as much as before all things considered.

So, I re watched the trailer, and it feels a lot more like a parody of the RDJ films, than like they're trying to make their own special brand of holms. I'm on board, I dig it. Self photograph and all.

I think these two can be hilarious, but seeing someone that's supposed to be an amazing Detective be a complete moron just isn't funny to me. Makes no sense. Would have been funnier if they were two wannabe's trying to emulate Holmes and Watson

You want a comedic take on Sherlock Holmes, just watch Without A Clue with Michael Caine and Ben Kingsley. This new version just looks all sorts of wrong.

I rarely like Will Ferrell and while I think John C Reilly is a decent actor, I don't really find him funny.
I was visiting the Holmes museum the day after I heard about this film and was discussing it with some of the staff.. we kind of had the same opinion.
We have a feeling it'll be terrible but as fans of the material it's based on... compelled to see it.

Same, I just watched Step Brothers again. These guys crack me up

Another one of my favorites is “the other guys” I honestly think I love that more then step brothers, and step brothers is way up there on my favorites

I come from a big cop family so I think that’s why.

And I am NOT a fan of mark wahlberg, but I love him teamed up with Ferrell

His last film, “get hard” I didn’t think was as good as any of the others, kevin heart was funny as all hell in it. But I just don’t know what that film was missing, just didn’t seem right

My favorite part of that one was him teaching the drug dealers how to invest their money and grow as a company lol

So I saw it yesterday, and while I enjoyed it, it's certainly lower brow humor than Taledega nights. It's made primarily of 2-5 minute skits, loosely tied together, in which they lampoon the RDJ/Jude Law Sherlock movies, along with a small handful of fun cameo type roles.

For calibration purposes, I really enjoyed Talidega nights, but could not get through step brothers. I've enjoyed John C Reilly and Will Ferrel in most things I've seen them in separately (I have not watched anchor man, or Time and Eric Awesome show).

While I had fun, my father saw it with me and said it was one of the worst 1.5 hour periods in his life. It did not make him laugh or chuckle, or even groan with begrudging amusement.

I expect most folks won't like the movie; While I love the RDJ Sherlock movies, I did get most of my enjoyment out of this film ridiculing the... near magical and practically precognitive and unfailing depiction of both sherlock and watson from those films.
