It's all about what you like yourself..I've got a cast hard rubber who knows what gen blaster that I just weathered added a cylinder latch and that's good enough for me..that's MY B R gun..tomonesuke said the 2049 blaster is the most accurate version of this blaster ever offered! now they say the 2019 is the most accurate version of this blaster ever offered! can we get a refund under false advertising if we bought a 2049? when they have sold this 300 blasters will the next one be the most accurate version of this blaster ever offered?
the cocking lever very "floppy”
The bolt on the original prop was very loose too. I won’t speak for the rest, but that sounds about right.
Can anyone comment on the quality of their 2049 version? Mine arrived with a very wobbly metal plate on the handle, the cocking lever very "floppy" and the battery compartment loose too, flimsy feeling and falls out reasonably easily.
Are they all like this? I have emailed HCG about this and await their reply. The inner box too is scuffed a little and also has what looks like binding crushing on the top edge. For the very, very high price, I expect perfection! Thanks.
I was in on the first run of the 2049 version and overall I am very happy with it. The only issues I had originally was a damaged outer box (which Mune from Tomenosuke sent a replacement) and slight looseness to the gun frame which I sorted by tightening the frame screws. The bolt lever is loose but as stated on previous threads, this is normal. I believe it could be tightened up but then I think you would then risk marking the bolt. Apart from that, everything else is great and very pleased with my purchase.
Just an FYI Malthus101 : This version of the 2049 (looking at your box) is not a limited edition of 100 pieces. Hundreds have been sold and there is still stock available. This was more of a mass produced piece which has many collectors noticing a little less care and QC as opposed to previous versions.
Did you contact Tomenosuke directly? HCG told me to send them pictures so THEY would contact Tomenosuke.
I also notice that the version previous to mine, the "cardboard box only" version shipped with tools to dismantle the gun - my 2049 version has no tools - is this correct?
I'm thinking that's all that is required to stop the heel plate wobbling on the handle... as for the battery compartment, it's quite cheaply done. Would others agree that it's a bit flimsy and rattles around a bit? Or just mine?
Thanks.
Because it was just the box, HCG weren't interested so I contacted Tomenosuke. They didn't have spares at the time so I had to wait for the 2nd run to produce a box and I just had to pay the shipping. Rune was most helpful with this.
I had tools and an alternative 2019 screw to replace the weaver knob. They should be underneath the foam insert.
Yes my battery compartment rattles a little but not enough to fall out and sits quite firmly. I'm sure you will be able to adjust that.
Oh yes thanks you're right - under the foam. What is that screw for? The weaver knob? Can you tell me what that is! Thanks...
The Weaver Knob replaced the 2019 standard screw on the famous "Worldcon" blaster version. This is the version that BR 2049 opted for which is why it is on the 2049 Tomenosuke but they also included the 2019 screw if you wanted to swap it over.
