Mmm...I actually like them both. The green coloured one is really pleasant to look at but the white's details really seem to POP! How did you go about it? I have to detail a raw one myself in the next week or two? Just a wash and rub down or??? My raw cast is an antique ivory resin.

Good work Irish! Both are very cool! While the yellowed version is more screen accurate, Taz is right about the white one really pops!

Taz I look forward to seeing how yours turns out aswell!

thank you guys i appreciate it, the green is actually the color of the resin i used, i just black washed it for detail, the white was the same color, i airbrushed a light dull coat of white and black washed it... i may try and do a airbrush color white with a little yellow, and the black wash may be a darker brown... well see...

Taz can you post a pic of yours, i am interested in seeing the color of teh ivory resin... did you do it or it was sent that way?

i went and worked on the other handles at my friends shop, and we were prepping to to do the master mold for the season 1 prop and my friend used a laquer to finish the prop so the molding material sets right, well after i saw him finish the throw away handle i had an idea... so i used the laquer finish, thinned a bunch and go this result...

Mmm...interesting....sort of an aged look lol I would maybe try that again but with less black wash...or even a burnt sienna to see what that looks like.

I sure will post pics of mine.....when I get to it lol

try more of a BROWN wash instead of black.

also, the "tail" wrapping around the handle is WAYYYYYYY too wide and flat.
Might want to go back to the drawing board on that one if you can...
